How to permanently delete your Samaj (Soni Samaj) account and what happens to your data.
At a glance
You can delete your account yourself from inside the Samaj app — no email needed.
Deletion removes your personal profile and frees your mobile number to sign up again.
Some financial records are kept in anonymised form because Indian law requires it.
Can't open the app? Contact us and we'll delete it for you within 7 days.
01Delete from inside the app (fastest)
In the Samaj app (developer: Naresh Soni,
package com.sonisamaj.soni_samaj_app):
Open the app and go to Profile.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Sign out section → Delete account.
Read the warning, confirm, and your account is deleted immediately.
You are signed out straight away and returned to the login screen.
The same mobile number can be used to register a fresh account
afterwards.
02What is deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove or anonymise:
Your name and mobile number (your account is identified by your mobile number — there is no email login) and any email you optionally added.
Your profile photo, address, family, profession and directory details.
Your privacy settings, saved sessions, biometric/PIN unlock and push-notification tokens.
Your consent records are withdrawn and the account is archived and de-activated.
After deletion your profile no longer appears in the member
directory and cannot be signed in to.
03What is kept, and why
For legal and tax-compliance reasons we retain, in anonymised
form, records that we are required by Indian law to keep:
Donation & 80G tax-receipt records — required under income-tax rules for the receiving charitable trusts.
Membership payments and booking/transaction records — retained for accounting and statutory audit.
These records are disassociated from your personal identity
(your name and contact details are removed) and are kept only for
the period the law requires, after which they are disposed of.
04Can't use the app? Ask us to delete it
If you cannot access the app, contact us from the
mobile number registered on your account — call or WhatsApp
the number below, or email us — and we will verify and delete it
within 7 days.
