Rishta (matrimony)
Respectful match-making within the samaj — profiles, interests and guarded contact sharing.
First, add them to your Family
Rishta listings are created for your family members. Go to Profile → Family and add your son or daughter first (or link their member profile if they use the app). Then they can be listed.
Create the rishta listing
Open Rishta from home, go to "My Listings" and tap "List a child". Pick the person from your family, then add height, gotra, manglik and a short introduction.
Add a photo — shown after approval
Add a good photo from your listing. Every rishta photo is first checked by a samaj admin — it becomes visible to other members only after this approval, usually the same day.
Browse and filter
Browse profiles and narrow by age, city, education and more. Photos and family details respect each profile's privacy choices. Note: your own family's listings will NOT appear in your search — see the tip below.
Send an interest
Tap "Send interest" on a profile you like. The other family gets a notification and can accept or decline. Interests are limited per month so every one counts.
Contact after acceptance
When an interest is accepted, both sides can see the guardian's contact and talk directly. Numbers are never shown before acceptance.
Manage your listing — pause, engaged, remove
Everything about your own listings lives in Rishta → "My Listings". Open a listing to pause it ("Paused — not in search"), mark the happy news with "Engaged", or remove it. A paused or engaged listing leaves everyone's search immediately, and you can re-list any time.
- You will not see your own family's listings in the Rishta search — that is intentional: the search shows you other families' children. Rest assured every other member sees your listing (if it is not paused). To check or edit it, open Rishta → "My Listings".
- During the founding year every member enjoys full Rishta access free — a gift to the samaj until Guru Purnima 2027.
